Keri Meyers Photography offers 1:1 and small group Newborn Mentoring Workshops in her natural light studio in Duvall, Washington. During your session you will have my undivided attention. You will be able to ask me all of your questions regarding posing, workflow and maintaining a successful newborn business. We will cover camera settings, metering, white balance and how to get the perfect exposure and best image SOOC. I’ll show you how to master posing, transitioning, soothing techniques and how to work with parents. We’ll dive into post processing and how to get those creamy skin tones.
You’ll even get to put your skills into action with hands-on posing on day 2 of both the Small Group and 1:1 classes. You will be able to take all the images that you take during the workshop to build your online portfolio and for marketing purposes.

What you Need:
Basic knowledge of Photoshop (this is not an intro to Photoshop)
You must own a DSLR and KNOW your camera. It is assumed that you are comfortable shooting in manual mode and have a basic understanding of aperture, shutter speed and ISO settings.
A 50mm prime lens is suggested for the session as this is what Keri primarily uses with newborns.
A macro lens (optional)
You do not need a computer, but are welcome to bring a laptop if you would like to work along side me while I demonstrate post processing.
Please note that mentoring sessions and small groups classes are not available for those working or residing within 60 miles of zip code 98019.

I am coming from out of state, what airport should I fly into?
Seattle-Tacoma (airport code SEA) is about 45 to 50 minutes from Duvall.
I am coming from out of town and need lodging information, where should I stay?
I recommend staying in Redmond, Washington. Redmond is just 20 minutes from the studio and provides several dining, shopping and golfing opportunities for your hubby if he joins you on your trip. I recommend either the Mariott Hotel at Redmond Town Center or Hotel Sierra in Redmond.
I am planning a little vacation time around my session, what is there to do in the area?
There is SO much to do! Duvall/Redmond is only a short drive from Seattle where you can visit the Space Needle, Experience Music Project, the Pike Place Market or take a walk down along the wharf.
You migh also want to head up to Snoqualmie and visit the Salish Lodge and take in Snoqualmie Falls.
Do you like wine? Then head to Woodinville and visit some of the many tasting rooms in the Woodinville Wine Country! Some of my favorites are Chateau Ste. Michelle, DeLILLE Cellars and JM Cellars. Wine not your thing? Then hit up the Redhook Brewery!
If you are up for a drive, then definitely hop on a ferry and head up to Whidbey or Orcas Island!
**Please be advised that Keri does not use a newborn sling with every newborn she photographs. Keri will attempt the sling at each session, but if baby does not appear to be sleepy enough she will not use the sling. Baby’s safety is first priority and using the sling with an “awake” baby is not recommended.
